Hello,
So At last something original (sort of!!!)
This time I didn't re render an old pict...
Anyway, just wanted to have a go at a sith lord...
hear we go. Hope you like it.
Took me about 15 hours, mostly strugling with the light saber effect and skin tone.
no post work that what make it very compicated.
as the lightsaber are 100% rended in c4d.

I learn a lot about area light...

As allways, it's a reRender of an old Pict of mine.
I did it for a few raisons, When I started to play with poser I had a very small computer with a crapy screen that I had found on the street...

So All The Pictures I did Where Very small Resolution, took ages to render and could not have special effect, also I didn't know photoshop at the time...

So now, I want to print them, so I have to redo them (I lost the poser files and I use dazstudio now)

That the result, 3 day in making, mostly about the right ligtning and the eyes took me ages...

In the Spirit of discovery, I revisited a more recent pictures of mine...
As I felt the original had not recivied the attention it rightly deserved and was made as a quicky...
This time I took my time, trying to extract the essence of sadness. as the idea being was "lost love"...
Anyway I can say that it took me a bit beyond my usual skill; and as allways i progress by revisiting old stuff...

This time the concept isn't from me, I mearly copy it.
It is a sad story...
It is the covert for the albume of a french singer. his name is "SaeZ" and his picture has been censured.
He cannot put it or advertise with it on the subway and the newspaper.
and france is the land of Freedom and Liberty....
It drive me mad, this is so injust. his picture is a clever one. a piece of art. I was smatch when i saw it frist. and even more whenI knew it was censured...

Anyway I just wanted to spread the world, and give him tribute as well as sticking my finger up to the censure...

An Ipad review

So what'up ?
Pretty simple I brought myself an iPad for my birthday, the same iPad that I use to write down this text,

I read a lot of article before deciding to buy it,
I talk to a lot of people to, I heard so many different thing, about it,
But a few stick to my mind ( classed by order of recurrence )

1- the iPad is a gadget, there is no real use for it
2- it's a very nice and extremely stylish product
3- it doesn't support fash and that is totally unacceptable
4- the screen is so cool and big
5- (lol) it's a iPod touch with big screen.
6- the battery is amazing
7- it's totally awesome product
8- it doesn't have ad card.

So for a while I thought that the iPad was a gimmick, exactly like I fought for the iPod mini and the iPod touch and iPhone. I listened to people speacking about it and hold off.

Till I vistit the apple store by curiosity...

And bim bam bum vlam!!!! I needed one so desesperatly ....

From experience, being a skeptical about apple product... I'm a pc user...
I do however own 3 iPhone and and iPod ( now the iPad too)

All I can say is try it for more that a few minutes if possible...

It's about 24 hours that I have mine and it did completely revolutionize the way I use Internet. Because seriously the iPad is not a phone, it's not a computer ( it can be one)

And it's definetly not a big iPod touch...

The biggest thing that the iPad is a master piece for me is this one...

I can finally read the Internet.

Let me explain my idea...

I have a computer, I work in the field ( I repaire computer) I pass between 5 to 10 hours a day on Internet. And I do research, read news, obscure tech forum... And stuff. And I always had some very hard time to read on a LCD screen, the position, the luminosity, the viewing angle, ect.... Was distraction, and I usually dreaded long hours of reaserch on the net. Sometime even missing information because I had enough to stare at my screen's. ( I can stay hours and hours in front of a screen to do 3d image) So to me reading at a computer scene is not natural, you can do it, but it's far from being ideal.

Well with the iPad, it's just revolutionary. It feel totaly natural to read the web, browse forum, look at web site... You really discover a totally new dimention to the web. And that is the main thing the iPad does.

It totally rock. Then it's also a ebook, I am an avid reader, I always have a book in my handbag, some that are more heavy that the iPad, and I also read book I like serval time... So that is a life saver, my bag is so much lighter...

I do have a tablet pc (toshiba m200) a very good piece of hardware, but so heavy...And even if my iPad cannot replace it, ( the m200 has wacom tech inside, pen presure and stuff) I will never take it in my bag ever again...)

The iPad does exactly what I need it to do, and the thing it doesn't my iPhone does. I do not need 3G, a camera, a gps on my iPad, the iPhone has it,

With a hack the iPad can have USB port and sd card...

As for flash, well so far so good, i haven't noticed the lack of it, and I brows a lot with it, seem to me that most of website have adapted... And with a hack you can have it too
Yes I have flash support on my iPad, I do not Kidd you!!!

To hack my iPad it took me about 3 minutes, and a push of a button!!!
I highly recommend it, otherwise you are missing a lot ...

So in conclusion I'm writing this, in my bed, totally relaxed, with some extra ease...
Seriously Apple made a real genius product.

The only thing that I can see that is seriously wrong with it, it's the damned f**king price!!!! But I'm sure in a year or so price and device will be affordable and maybe I will have pen pressure on the iPad ....

Ps: it's been a week with the iPad, and I didn't even scratch the surface...
It's like a good sciences fiction book, coming to reality. It's what they promised when I was kid... The thing on star trek, or minority report... It's starting here and now.

Off course apple didn't create it. I have tablet pc and PDA since about 10 years now I remember my first O2 HDA ii, when I thought it was going that way... (still have it) hell of a good device... Well apple i've refined it. Expended and made it user oriented and not just a technological marvel that is not really usable... The iPad experience is smooth, no bug, strait to usuability. To be honest I thing it's rather very addictive device, and I have hard time to put it down, I'm a avid reader, and now I have all the world at my finger tips (literally ) it so good...

No time to play, this is the 10 time that I rewrite this text because I keep on refreshing the page and each time I lose the text...

so here is what I salvaged so far... and I'm damned to pissed off to start again.

I thought I lost it, seriously I couldn't pick up my pen tablet... but I found it again in renewing a long lost friendship...

funny because I definitely didn't expect that type of affinity coming from that specific person. (due to past deeds but also because I'm a stupid guy sometime that should know better than listening what other have to say about others....)

Never mind. She gave me a new "muse" now. and that very! very! very! good. And she also stirred up some "melancholy" deep down that was sleeping. That not so good for me personally but infinitely good for the ART.

I wanted to do a pure nude, but a simple one, not sexual meaning and all, just a soft, nice feeling pictures. a tiny bit melancholic…. so there we are, I think it depend on the view point, and of course the light, , I can imagine so many thing…

Here the light is very important, (and took me so much time to get it right.) It change the perception of the whole image, creating moods and background story yet it still the same concept…

I created the room from starch, (well using already made object) but placing, them, texturing them is done fully in house too. as usual,

Figure posed in Dazstudio, assembled and textured then rendered in Cinéma 4D , I didn’t put the antialiasing cause for some reason it bug. it’s also the first time that I use Global Illumination in C4D. usually I fake it, with a dome of light.

composition took about 20 hours, rendering time about 1h…

So my new year’s resolution are :

Okay that is it for now, let talk about the pictures, it’s actually a semi commission, my very first. it was done in vue 6 xtreams, no post work what 'so ever, pure vue6 rendering goody….

Took me about 2 hours of composition, the main object was modeled by me in c4d. (in about 10 min) so it’s a foot note in this story! and rendered in vue6 in about 1h in vue6…

hello,

Not to much to say, only that I visited a old 17e century castle, that I might buy,
I did some pictures shooting. So I will post the video soon and talk more about it, It so cool. There is a lot of work to do on it, especialy inside, but it look fabulous, and the park is just incredible. and the price is so cool. (not much more than a good flat in paris center....)

I'm also going to start my movie in november!!!!, we are doing post prod now. thinking also to do a mini series about "geek and cooking!!!" (so much fun!)

I also nearly finish the prototype (post production one) and it's gonna kick some ass, I also have so much work, my buisness is doing great, one think people buy is computer... anyway, I found also a friend that is an artist agent, quite good one, so it will promote me a bit (and for free)....

so that is it for today...

oups i forgot the braging....

I have received my second Iphone the "3G one" at last... I also bought the MSI-wind Mini laptop, and it's so cool...

So yes I have a lot of computer at home..... I hadded another one in my bedroom, and possibly one in the kitchen.... (for cooking!!!!!) just kidding!!!!

so it's going great, life is fabulous, and I positivly love my job.

so in the end a quick pict of mine. beacuse is tradition.

In the mid-time, I'm drawing the plan for the Prototype, having at last decided on what Mobo and new technology I'm gonna use, (for those who don't know or don't remember...) I'm building and designing a new computer, it's very exiting as well as cutting edge stuff, it's something no one ever thought of yet... I can't even think that no one ever thought of this, but then sometime the obvious isn't that obvious!

anyway there is two project running here. and I'm sorry I can't say more!

I know that i'm not very consistent in my posting, that is because i'm very busy, and writing a proper bog and stuff is till consuming

anyway, today i'm gona post a pict that i did for my brothers birthday, it's again a vampiress, yes is addicted as well so i hope you like it.

Some Change...

The last few Weeks where quite intense for me, my brithday, and all of my presents...

2 wonderfull Flat screen,

HP w2207 a 22" at 1600x1050 very nifty, can rotate to portait mode tow usb port and stuff, it a super duper lcd changed the way i work....

and it's litel brother the HP w1907 a smaller only 19'' at 1400x900 but still punchy.

they where both wildscreen, and trust me i will never go back to CRT or 4:3 it just the past, like the dinosors...

anyway it a very big change befor i only had a small LG 17" CRT with all washed out color...

But this is not all, i also added 1GB of ram so now it 3GB total and they are in dual chanel too.

if this isn't anought i haded 2 new Maxtor 250GB so now the total is 4x250 for one TETRA. and 4 drive to play with, as a matter of fact i have so many patition that i don't have anouth letter anymore ;) anyway it not a big deal, but my render are much quicker now and the use too.

I also have a new TV card, now i can like a camera or do video stuff, and a nifty littel remote control to watch my tv and dvd on media center.

I spend 2 week to reinstall evrything, i dual boot xp and vista and it was a real nightmare to pull this off. reinstalling every piece of software manualy on both system, in such a way that they interact toogather, i mean if i open Cinema 4 in xp, and i change the UI, it show in vista too, same for dazstudio, photoshop and the rest... nifty but hard to do. i still use XP cause it faster for doing rendering. and i like to have a backup plan in case somthing goes wrong.

Now all i need is a good tablet, and nice camera.

I'm ready to kick some serious hard rendering now ....

I'm redoing all my best one cause at the time my computer wasn't that good, and i could do anything in big resolution, and now that I have a dual core and a lots of ram, i can go berserk on it, and aslo i use other program to like cinema 4d instead of poser 4 for rendering.

So this is the very original concept...

In the Remake Series

The Vampire...

The name of this dead(ly) beauty is Megan, She is the Heroine of one of my short novel, and the reason why i came by rendring in the first place.

She was created out of pure frustration, I did make her up as my idal girl friend ;° She is an old Style Malkiavian ( for my friend of the Mascarade) it mmean that she is crasy, nuts, insane, and totaly ravaged... she belive she is dreaming to be a vampire (when she realy is one) and that the whole world is her own imagination.

Anyway, for the techicality of it all...

Posed in DazStudio, rendered in Cinema 4D, touched up in photoshop only for frame and title.

This Pict was rendered at 4500 by 6000 px at 16bit
and 600dpi, and took almost 30 minutes on a dual core athlon x2 at 2GHz and 2GHz RAM,

Finaly i would like to thanks again Fredy Wensel (aka Fredy 3D) because i did follow up to the letter his mini skin shader tutorial wich was a life saver...

I hope you love her as much i do, But keep in mind that she is MY fantasy Girl friend, and she also can bite.

You see, I’m in love with fantasy and Sciences Fiction, and all kind of creatures and monsters, I wanted to have a very nice picture of a devil, so I struck an unholy bargain with one.

I short i sold my soul for a lousy shot, done with my mobile phone.

that it it's official, i bloody 30 years old and a few hours... i'm now officialy an full grown adult,

I cannot tell i'm in my twenties.....

Argh it suck...

well people still thinks i'm 20, some even goes to 17, it kida suk when i go clubbing or to the pub...

and i'm not taken seriously either when i say i'm 30 i even have to prove it by showing my ID, can you belive it.

bootom line is

i'm 30 it suck, but noone belive me.
